WHAT IS EFT OR TAPPING?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques (sometimes called Tapping) and, in essence, it is an emotional version of acupuncture, except I don’t use needles. Instead, we stimulate certain meridian points on the body by tapping on them with our fingertips.
WHAT CAN I USE EFT FOR?
This innovative Tapping tool has proven useful in clinical settings for just about any emotional, physical or performance issue you can name … everything from fears to trauma … anger to depression … bee stings to multiple sclerosis … back pain to vision issues … baseball to gymnastics … singing to golf.
HOW DOES EFT COMPARE TO CONVENTIONAL TREATMENTS?
EFT, in its simplest description, combines Mind-Body Medicine with the stimulation of the acupuncture meridians (via fingertip Tapping) to generate a synergistic blend of the two. It’s been shown to bring relief (including the complete cessation of symptoms) where drugs, surgery, and other medical interventions appeared to have failed.
CAN I CONTINUE TAPPING ON MY OWN?
Yes, together we develop ‘take-home’ strategies that you can continue on your own between our sessions that will further your growth and development.
WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO PHYSICALLY MAKE IT TO WEEKLY EFT APPOINTMENTS?
I solely work with women online, in the capacity of a private FB group or one-on-one via a Zoom call, unless you are part of a workshop or event (with or without the horses).
ARE YOU CERTIFIED?
Yes, I am a Certified Emotional Success Coach and a Certified Conscious Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner.
WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.
IS REIKI LIKE A MASSAGE?
Reiki is different from massage therapy. With Reiki you remain fully clothed and may be standing, sitting or laying down as needed.
ARE THE REIKI SESSIONS DONE IN PERSON OR THROUGH DISTANCE SESSIONS?
Our Reiki Sessions are done through a distance session (not in person), unless otherwise discussed.
ARE YOU CERTIFIED?
Yes, I am an Usui Shiki Ryoho 2nd Degree Reiki Practitioner.
WHAT IS EAL?
To put it simply, Equine Assisted Learning is a learner based educational experience with horses. More specifically, EAL is an effective approach to human development that encourages individual and team growth. Participants engage in objectively driven exercises and find themselves learning valuable life skills in a fun and exciting atmosphere while working with horses. EAL has proven to be effective, powerful, positive, educational and creative.
ARE YOU CERTIFIED?
Yes, I am a Certified Equine Assisted Learning facilitator, certified through the first nationally recognized, Certified Equine-Assisted Learning Course at the Academy of Equine Assisted Learning. This is a leading organization in EAL and offers the only certified building block program in Canada.
WHAT GROUP SIZE DO YOU WORK WITH?
I offer one-on-one customized sessions, couples, or small intimate groups of no more than 6 at a time. Have a larger group? Give us a holler and we will find a solution.
DO I NEED EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES?
Absolutely not. Our programs do not require you to ride a horse so no prior experience is necessary. I inform every individual or group of the rules and safety precautions to take when around the animals. I always put safety first and I can accommodate everyone’s different comfort levels around the horses.
WHAT IF I’M SCARED OR DON’T LIKE HORSES?
If you aren’t being pushed out of your comfort zone, you aren’t learning. This is an opportunity to overcome your fears or preconceived notions. We don’t always get to pick our team members at work or play, do we? I can discuss your discomfort during a consult to see if you’re willing to explore the idea. If not, that’s ok! I have many programs that don’t involve horses.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
As each of my offerings/experiences are so varied, please contact me for the latest rates. If applicable we can explore if a customizable program would be best.
WHAT IF IT IS RAINING, SNOWING OR COLD OUT?
I do my best to control the weather, but sometimes Mother Nature chooses not to co-operate. Unless conditions are extreme or dangerous, our programs will run. Safety is our first priority. Workshops will have a rainy day back up date.
DO WE RIDE THE HORSES?
No. All of our work is out of the saddle. You will work alongside the horses as part of your team for the best and true reaction of the horse and the most beneficial way of learning for you. This way the horse can be its true self and not be “on the job”.
DO I NEED CERTAIN CLOTHING?
Although chaps and a pair of cowboy boots aren’t required, I do have certain safety requirements when it comes to your clothing. Simple things like closed toe shoes and dressing in clothes that you are ok with getting a little dusty. I will give you a full list of these safety measures, of course.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Because some of the programs are customized to meet your need, please contact me so we can discuss what you require.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, I carry extensive insurance for ourselves and those who attend or experience any of the Transform with JLS offerings, with or without horses.
WHERE ARE YOUR WORKSHOPS AND HORSE PROGRAMS LOCATED?
The location for each event or individual session, either with or without the horses will be specified on an event or individual session basis, as dates become available. The Transform with JLS ranch is located in Seagrave, ON.
